RVL Internship Programs and Application Process
Research Ventures & Licensing has internships available for interested PhD, MBA, JD students and postdoctoral fellows. Our Internship program provides an excellent opportunity to learn through first-hand participation in different technology transfer aspects, e.g. invention commercialization or law internships, including for- or not-for-credit law school externships.
In order to be considered for an internship, you must submit a cover letter (explaining the type of work you want to do and your interests) and your resume to phsrvl@partners.org
Internships are available in specific teams and types of work, including:
- Business Development
- Research and Licensing
- Transaction Affairs Group (Legal)
Some examples of specific intern support includes:
- Support patentability and prior art analysis of inventions
- Help with the scientific review of invention disclosures
- Perform market research in the life sciences, biotech, and pharmaceutical fields to facilitate out licensing efforts.
- Implement marketing strategies and assist in proactive marketing of technologies.
- Assist to determine market potential and develop marketing strategies for Partners intellectual property.
- Other activities as assigned
